Parker Clay was born as a lifestyle brand, whose mission is to improve the conditions of highly-skilled leather artisans in Ethiopia while providing high-quality and beautiful ethically sourced leather products.
The story started when Brittany and Ian, the founders of Parker Clay, were living in Ethiopia. There, they witnessed how many young and vulnerable women without education or opportunity ended up in prostitution or even sold into human trafficking.
They worked with organizations empowering these women through rehabilitation, skills development, and job creation.
But it's when Ian, who was looking for a birthday gift for Brittany, discovered a beautiful leather bag made ethically by local artisans that they had an epiphany.
They saw an opportunity to give back and empower vulnerable women through enterprise.
The artisans' craftsmanship is beautiful and the leather they use is not only ethically sourced but it is some of the highest quality in the world.
Parker Clay makes timeless products by way of age-old traditional craftsmanship while creating opportunities for vulnerable women to become economically independent and fighting to end prostitution in Ethiopia.
Parker Clay is a certified B Corporation.
